Beginning Rubber Stamping & Card Making Class

Join me the first Sunday of the month from 2-4pm for Beginning Rubber Stamping & Card Making Class. Each month we create 4 projects; a Clean & Simple layout card, a Special Technique card, a Unique Fold card, and a 3 dimensional project. Here are three of the projects we completed yesterday.

This first project has no layers. How quick and easy is that!! Use any stamp set to make a collage in the corner. I used the Vintage Vogue stamp set in Not Quite Navy, Rich Razzleberry, and Garden Green stamped on a Naturals White card base. Next free hand your lines to make a border. The large Clear Block F is perfect for stamping a collage of images.

This project is one Shanon West from SU showed us at the Orlando Regionals. It's an "emboss resist" technique and has an Andy Warhol look to it. Use Glossy Card stock for the "emboss resist" to get the best results. The cupcake and sentiment is from the Got Treats stamp set. It's embossed in White Stampin' Emboss powder. I used Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Melon Mambo Classic ink sponged on with a Sponge Dauber and buffed off with a paper towel. Each cupcake was punched out using the 1 3/8" Square punch

This last card is my favorite. Last week on Splitcoast Stampers the bargello technique was highlighted. I used the new Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper to create this card. It is beautiful paper! You can view the instructions to create a bargello card here. My hint in making this card is to use plenty of adhesive when you first lay down your strips to keep all the "pieces parts" together. The label is from the new stamp set Four Frames. This new paper and stamp set will be available in the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog coming out in July but, you can also get it a little early! See below.

Our next class is Sunday, May 1. We will again be making 4 projects:
  1. Clean & Simple layout card
  2. Special Technique card
  3. Unique Fold card
  4. 3 Dimensionl project
The cost is $15 and includes all supplies. Prepay securely with Paypal below to reserve your spot! RSVP & prepay deadline April 25th. Contact me if you have any questions! I hope you can join me!
