Clean & Simple: Say It With Scallops

Clean & Simple Sketch Challenge with Splitcoast Stampers.

A Clean & Simple card is "one that is uncluttered with lots of white or open space. It has a clear focal point without a lot going on to detract from it. It is simple in design and can be copied and mass produced fairly quickly… usually without a lot of coloring, layers, embellishments, tools and/or techniques".SCS

Stampin'Up makes it easy to create "clean & simple" cards using stamps sets, paper, ink, and embellishments that coordinate together easily. This card took about 10 minutes to make from start to finish. Using Stampin'Up!'s Color Coach (#105796), I came up with three coordinating colors and pulled my paper, ink, and embelishments together in minutes.

Card Instructions:

• Using Say It with Scallops (#111678) Ronald McDonald Stamp set. Stamp it three times using Certainly Celery (#105217), Tempting Turquoise (#100814), and Pink Pirouette (#111838) Classic Ink. TIP: Stamp along the edge of the paper so you can punch it out easily.
• Punch each stamped design out with the Scallop Square Punch (#112081)
• Score 8 1/2" x 11" Certainly Celery card stock (#105125) at 4 1/4" along short side. Turn paper to 11" side and cut at 5 1/2". Card base.
• Cut a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" square.
• Attach white square to card base.
• Stamp phrase at bottom of card. TIP: Use Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049) to line up phrase.
• Attach 3 scallop squares to white square leaving one square empty.
• Attach pink Button Bouquet button (#112092) in empty square with glue dots (#103683).
• Add a small piece of 1/4" Tempting Turquoise Grossgrain ribbon, tied in knot below button.
