Mr. & Mrs..

120813
This card is cased from a card in the 2012-2013 Idea Book and Catalog. I am doing a quick post so I won’t forget the dimensions again. The young couple is having an informal, country themed wedding.

  • The card base is a 5x10” piece of window sheet, scored in half.
  • A 4 3/4” piece of Going Gray card stock is attached to the inside, back window sheet.
  • The Whisper White was cut out using the scalloped square in the Squares Framelits set. It is about 4 1/2” square.
  • The red polka dot measures 3 3/4” by 7 1/2” scored at 3 3/4”. It is attached to the white square but not to the top Window Sheet layer.
  • The words were stamped onto a 3/4” by               3 3/4”piece of Whisper White.  It along with all the remaining embellishments are attached to the outside of the Window Sheet.
Thanks for stopping by. I would love to know what you have found to be the best way to get a clean, embossed image. I’ve used tacky cloth, the Embossing Buddy and still get extra embossing powder stuck to the card. Would love to hear your suggestions.
Merry Christmas!

Perfect Wedding Favor for PPA

This week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts is anything wedding. I love wrapping treats so I chose a favor box which is quick, easy and quite pretty!

This box is called a Petal Box. I created mine out of Vellum Card stock and embossed the Sweet Swirls standard wheel along the bottom in Silver Embossing Powder.

The sides curl around each other holding the box closed without any adhesive! I ran my Bone Folder along the edges to make it look like a flower and topped it off with a Basic Rhinestone Jewel.
  • You can find the basic box shape by googling it. I drew my pattern by hand and am having my husband recreate it in .pdf form. I will make it available as soon as he's completed it on the right side bar.

Well, that is it for today. Make sure to check out all the wedding themed projects this week at Pals Paper Arts! Give this challenge a try yourself! Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

God Bless,

Recipe:

Happy Anniversary!

It's my Anniversary this Tuesday, February 2nd! It's not my wedding anniversary but my 2 year anniversary with Stampin'Up! It has been a fun and challenging 2 years and I've loved every moment. I'm looking forward to the next 20 years with Stampin'Up! That would make me...uhhhh....we won't go there. Let's just say if I can hold the stamp I'll still be stampin'!

Stop back on Tuesday, Feb 2 for all my "hoopla"! It will be a fun day here at Seasons of Stamping along with 2 "stampendous" 1 day specials!

This card is cased from a card by Sandi Murphy. The highlight of the card is the new I {Heart} Hearts clear stamp set available in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. This set has beautiful heart designs that are perfect for many occasions. And for every set that is sold $2 will go to Haiti Relief through the Red Cross. Awesome!!

If you would like a copy of the Occasions Mini catalog and don't have demonstrator or are not expecting to receive a copy from another demonstrator, I'm happy to stick one in the mail for you. Just contact me.

Happy Anniversary! - Animal Tales DSP

This is my husband's anniversary card. We've been married 24 years today! The layout came from Mary Fish and I love the way the heart turned out. Using Stampin' Write Markers to color the heart gave it the varied color and makes every stamp set you own more versatile. The colors even mixed but it turned out beautifully. I'm also using the soon to be released Tall Tales DSP!

Enjoy!

God bless,
Martha
